Game Overview
Build the Legendary Pyramid in the Heart of Mesoamerica
Step back into the ancient world of Teotihuacan, the powerful city at the peak of the Mesoamerican civilization. Witness both the rise and fall of this pre-Columbian empire as you take on the role of a master strategist in this exciting board game. Your goal? To rise to prominence by gaining the favor of the gods, accumulating wealth, and constructing the majestic Pyramid of the Sun at the center of the city.
In Teotihuacan: City of Gods, each player commands a group of worker dice that grows in strength with every strategic move. Your turn involves moving your workers around a modular board, where you’ll choose between two options on each location tile. One option offers you an action and an upgrade for your workers, while the other grants you a powerful bonus—though without the worker upgrade.
As you manage resources, workers, and progress in the game, you’ll unlock new technologies, climb the three great temples, build homes for the city’s inhabitants, and, ultimately, raise the Pyramid of the Sun, one of the most iconic structures in the ancient world.
Teotihuacan is played across three distinct eras, with the progress of the city being evaluated after each one. Throughout the game, your ability to pay your workers and manage your resources will be crucial. At the end of the game, the player who has accumulated the most fame from their efforts will claim victory.
