Welcome to Traintopia — a visionary land of modern railways, sustainable design, and efficient transit! A new era is beginning, and the nation seeks a forward-thinking leader to shape its high-speed future. Will you rise to the challenge and become the mastermind behind the most impressive rail network?
In Traintopia, players compete to design a vibrant, futuristic transportation system. You’ll expand rail lines, connect districts, and strategically place commuters, tourists, and trains to maximize your network’s efficiency and your score.
How to Play
Each turn, you’ll draft a component from the central offer — this can be a route tile, a commuter, a tourist, a train, or a mailbag. You’ll then add that piece to your personal network:
Track tiles allow you to extend your railway through various urban, rural, and industrial zones.
Commuters and tourists generate immediate victory points when placed on matching districts or near attractive landmarks.
Trains and mailbags offer valuable end-game scoring bonuses, based on your network’s structure and diversity.
The key to success lies in balancing your expansion with smart placements, creating efficient and scenic routes that serve the needs of both people and cargo.
Endgame & Scoring
After a set number of rounds (8 or 9 depending on player count), final scoring takes place. Players tally points from completed routes, placed passengers, and personal objective cards. The one with the most points becomes the president of Traintopia!
