Our Family Plays Games hired as diversity and inclusion consultants

We are proud to announce a new partnership and cooperation with Our Family Plays Games. Mik and Starla are fantastic champions and advocates for diversity and inclusion in board gaming. We are excited to be working with them to foster an inviting hobby, to promote cultural respect, and to continue our own path toward better understanding, especially as these topics relate to board games we publish. We are so happy that OFPG are willing to help us on this journey as diversity and inclusion consultants.

Diversity is not the same thing as inclusion. Diversity invites people to the table, but inclusion empowers your voice to be heard while you are at the table. Both as a board game publisher and as individuals, we want the hobby to be open and welcoming toward everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, culture, age, or religion. Board&Dice also believes in the respectful treatment of cultures which are not our own, particularly if such cultures have a history of oppression or marginalization.

But we also recognize that this is not a journey we can (or should) navigate alone. We need help. We need more voices to be heard. We want to listen and learn. We want to grow and improve. We are committed to continue on our path and are elated to have Our Family Plays Games join us on the journey forward.
